年神を迎える松ノ内のランドマーク「⾨松」。中空の節を天にひらいた⽵をうつわに、松とともに年神の来訪を待つ。新年の清々しい⼼を現代的かつ⼟着的なアレンジを加えながら象形し、お正⽉⽂化を洗練させていく。

Kadomatsu is a landmark for New Year's holidays. We use bamboo with hollow knots as a container, and wait for the arrival of Toshigami while keeping our hearts close to the pine tree. We will refine it with modern and indigenous arrangements to symbolize the refreshing spirit of the new year.

実物ではなく陰影をもって存在をあらわにする「影向」。⽇中の⾊鮮やかな姿とは異なり、⽉や灯籠のあかりに映し出される草⽊の侘しさが、もの寂しさを内に抱く⼈⼼をゆらす。あかりと植物と器だけで静かなる庭をしつらえる。

”Yogo” is something that reveals its existence through shadows rather than the real thing. Unlike the colorful appearance during the day, the desolation of the plants and trees reflected in the moon and the light of lanterns shakes the hearts of people with a sense of loneliness. We create a peaceful garden with just lights, plants, and containers.
